“Dealurile Halmeului” Agricultural Cooperative is a provider of agricultural goods and services and also a trading company. It is also an authorised producer of wines of Protected Geographical Indication, an authorisation granted by the Ministry of Agriculture to produce wines of protected geographical indication “Dealurile Sătmarului” from the crop of 2014. Our wines are according to the technical specifications of the Quality System for wines of Protected Geographical Indication and the product is registered in the DOC-IG Sole Register - quality wines with the Protection Decision issued by ONVPV - OMAPDR 732/2005.
Tătăran Mihai – certified wine grower, grows grape vines bearing fruit with noble grapes for wine-making purposes on an area of 5.32 hectares in Halmeu village.
Mike Zoltan Cristian – certified wine grower, grows grape vines established by the restructuring / reconversion programme, on an area of 0,79 hectares in Halmeu village.
The wine varieties produced by the cooperative and by the two producers are:
- White wines: Fetească Regală, Tămâioasă Românească, Riesling Italian, Muscat Ottonel and Sauvignon Blanc.
- Red wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Fetească Neagră.
Wines are marketed as table wines bottled in 2-Litre or 5-Litre PET bottles, as well as wines with “Dealurile Sătmarului” protected geographical indication, bottled in glass bottles. The cooperative runs a bottling plant with a capacity of approximately 200 bottles per hour. The total processed annual quantity is of 50,000 – 60,000 litres / year.
